THE LAW vs. THE RIGHT THING TO DO

THE LAW vs. THE RIGHT THING TO DO

Doing what is ethical versus doing what is according to the law is a different thing. When you are in a situation where you need to do the right thing and have conflict with the law, you cannot obey the law sometimes. Some laws aren't applicable to all, and some laws do not benefit others. Law does not feed people; law does not heal people; but law hinders people from doing the rightful act in some situations. Take a look at this passage, John 7:22–23:

"Jesus said to them, “I did one miracle, and you are all amazed. Yet, because Moses gave you circumcision (though actually it did not come from Moses, but from the patriarchs), you circumcise a boy on the Sabbath. Now if a boy can be circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken, why are you angry with me for healing a man’s whole body on the Sabbath?"

‭‭John‬ ‭7:24‬ ‭NIV‬‬
Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.”

Therefore, do not judge people who do the right thing by just not obeying the law. The law isn't perfect, so people aren't too.
