To accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior: Acceptance ba talaga ang makakaligtas sa akin?

"Prayer of acceptance doesn't guarantee your salvation. Just because you accepted Jesus doesn't mean you're already saved." That's what my brother from church told me. Then I started thinking more deeply. I said to myself, if the prayer of acceptance or accepting Jesus doesn't save us, does that mean the pastors and leaders are lying when they do the prayer of acceptance and tell the person they're offering acceptance from Jesus that they are now saved? So they're lying. And maybe the scripture is lying too.

I stopped meditating on these thoughts or questions that I had. It's been a long time, but it's still a question for me, and I'm still confused.

One morning, while I was sweeping outside, I thought about it again. Then I found myself talking to myself about this until I thought that maybe the prayer of acceptance is just a license. Then Boom! I realized that the prayer of acceptance or accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior does indeed save you because God is giving you a License as you accept Jesus. This License is a gift that signifies you are now a child of God, you are now Loved and Saved by Grace. But since it's a Spiritual License, like a License in the physical world, it can also be revoked.

When you have a Spiritual License, it means you have authority. Not the authority to boss around your siblings because you have authority, but the authority to live out God's word, to spread it, and to meditate on it. You are part of all spiritual interventions because you have authority. Behind the License, there is a responsibility attached. It's the same with teachers; when you become a Licensed teacher and start teaching, you have many responsibilities because you are in a field where you are required to take responsibility for everything within your job scope. Similarly, when you have a Spiritual License, it comes with responsibilities. But the good thing is, just like teachers who get a salary, in God or in heaven, you also have a salary, and that salary from God for your hard work in His Kingdom is what we call a "reward." That's all.
